New Delhi, Jul. 26 (BNA): Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Secretary General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution and Head of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation to UNCITRAL, met with Justice Vikram Nath, Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of India, and Gourab Banerji, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, former Additional Solicitor General of India and President of the Arbitration Bar of India.
The meeting discussed means to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and India in the domains of international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution. This included the exchange of expertise, cooperation in judicial training between Bahrain, UNCITRAL and the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, engagement with the arbitration community in both countries, and the continued development of modern frameworks for resolving commercial disputes.
Both sides also reviewed future cooperation prospects, including strengthening institutional links between entities involved in dispute resolution in the Kingdom and India, and supporting the position of the Bahrain International Commercial Court within the international arbitration and dispute resolution framework.
