Mogadishu, Feb. 10 (BNA): Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held a meeting with a German delegation led by Niels Annen, Minister of State for Economic Cooperation and Development.

53 migrants dead or missing after boat capsizes off Libya, IOM says

Tripoli, Feb. 9 (BNA): Fifty three migrants, including two babies, were dead or missing after a rubber boat carrying 55 people capsized off the coast of Libya, the International Organisation for Migration said in a statement.

The IOM said, citing the survivors, that the boat departed from Zawiya on Thursday and then overturned off Zuwara on Friday, Reuters reported.

Zawiya and Zuwara are coastal towns west of the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

At least 6 killed in building collapse in Lebanon

Tripoli, Feb. 9 (BNA): At least six people were killed, and seven others were injured when two adjoining buildings collapsed in the Lebanese city of Tripoli on Sunday, with more trapped under the rubble.

Earlier, the head of Lebanon's civil defence rescue service said the collapsed buildings had 22 residents, Reuters reported.

Rescue workers and residents had so far recovered three people alive from under the rubble.
