Manama, Sep. 7 (BNA): The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Bahrain, will present the Chinese cultural show "Tree of Life" on Thursday, September 10, at 8pm at the Cultural Hall.
The evening is part of efforts to strengthen cultural exchange and communication between Bahrain and China, affirming the role of culture and the arts in strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples.
The show will provide an artistic space highlighting the points of convergence and dialogue between the ancient Dilmun civilisation and Chinese culture, deeply rooted in history, through a series of artistic and musical performances combining choral singing, dance, Tai Chi, Peking Opera, light and shadow art, as well as traditional performing arts, folk costumes and musical rhythms, in a scene reflecting the richness of cultural and civilisational heritage and the diversity of forms of artistic expression.
The show will be preceded at 7pm by a series of interactive workshops offering audiences an opportunity to learn more closely about various aspects of Chinese cultural heritage and its arts, including an introduction to the guqin, tea ceremony, Chinese calligraphy, traditional painting and the art of paper cutting.
